Gifted product.
I have tried GreenPan before and I have been happy with the pots and pans I bought – I think they was from John Lewis, a few years ago. I still have a small pan from an older collection I use. This time, I tested their new Evolution collection with a simple recipe of a Warm Pear and Goats Cheese Salad.

Is GreenPan a good brand?
Now, I’m sure you’ve heard about GreenPan – but maybe you are reading this because you haven’t – or, you are trying to make up your mind.
I would say based on my previous experience that their products are of a good quality and durable too. An important point about GreenPan for me, that it uses nonstick coatings made without PFAS chemicals like PTFE, PFOA, and GenX, as well as heavy metals like lead and cadmium.
GreenPan introduced their first healthy, ceramic non-stick in 2007 and ever since they have been working on newer innovations to help everyday families to cook safe and healthy food. Their main invention: Thermolon™ anti-adhesive coating is now in its ninth generation. Which proves that they are constantly working on making it even better. This something I want to see from a cookware company: backed by over 150 patents and counting.
About the GreenPan Evolution Collection

With its sleek stainless steel handles and Scratch Guard™ technology, this cookware performs beautifully and is built to last.
Available in Black, Cream, Teal and Pine Green.
The new GreenPan Evolution Collection includes:
- Frying Pans
- Wok
Available from greenpan.co.uk and John Lewis (24cm and 28cm Frying Pan in Cream and Teal).
Is the Thermolon coating safe?
Yes. All the credentials of the Thermolon ceramic coating is proven through third party testing to be safe. According to the regulations, the requirement is that nothing shall leach from the cooking surface that’s harmful. So this is what Greenpan guarantees. The Thermolon coatings are confirmed by accredited third party test labs not to contain any of the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) under EU REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals).
Which pans you need to stay away from?
It is now widely recognised, that teflon non stick pans may contain toxic, forever chemicals and other unidentified toxics that can be released when heated. The primary issue revolves around PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and PFAS (poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances). Chemicals, that previously used in Teflon production. Both have been linked to various health issues, including cancer and reproductive problems. Additionally, Teflon pans can release toxic fumes when overheated, potentially causing flu-like symptoms in humans and even being lethal to birds.
Can GreenPan be used for high-heat cooking?
No, GreenPan is more suitable for low-heat, everyday cooking.
However, when Thermolon is overheated, such as in a boil-dry accident, no toxic fumes are detected even up to 850⁰F (454⁰C) as also confirmed by third party testing.
Review: What I thought about the GreenPan Evolution Collection pan
The new pan I’m testing is better in every way compared to the old GreenPan pot and pan I had.
First of all it looks beautiful! The cream colour with the stainless steel handle advanced gold PVD coating – just so very pretty! As pretty as a pan can be, really.
Then it’s also performing better. I now have an induction hob, and the thick forged base with reinforced aluminium base is actually performing very well – just had to heat it to medium (which is 6 out of 9 on my hob) to really quickly stew the pears with some olive oil and maple syrup – this was the first try. After this, I also used it for omelette (daughter loves an omelette) and grilling asparagus, they didn’t stick either, used the same medium temperature for preparing it – no issues.
After both tests I could have just wiped the pan clean but it’s dishwasher safe, so obviously went into the dishwasher. Big plus.
All in all, it’s a really good everyday pan for frying things on medium heat on the hob – which is what I do on most evenings to make dinner: perfect for making light meals based on veggies.

Great review—really appreciated the honest take on how the GreenPan Evolution range performs in real, everyday cooking. The focus on durability and PFAS-free coating is especially helpful, since many people are now paying closer attention to safer cookware options. It’s interesting how these pans balance convenience with healthier materials, even if they still need proper care to maintain that non-stick performance over time
Reading this actually made me think about how much good cookware influences the final dish, especially when preparing spice-heavy cuisines.
