About Xander Kostroma Crystal Jewellery

Xander went through a lot in life, even experienced homelessness in his teenage years. He’s a great example how – just like his life motto – anything is possible in life. He was born in Wales but having had a very international life experience, he’s currently reside in Portugal, where he designs his jewellery and lifestyle items. He launched his brand Xander Kostroma® in 2018 and his designs  are stocked in 500+ independent boutiques worldwide. 

Xander Kostroma creates collections of crystal jewellery, crystal homeware and bohemian-inspired accessories uniquely crafted for people who are looking for a deeper connection when it comes to their own sense of fashion and personal style. Xander Kostroma crystal jewellery is handmade in small batches using fairly sourced crystals and 925 sterling silver or gold-plated components and only real crystals and semi-precious stones from trusted and reputable suppliers. All jewellery is tested and certified to be lead, cadmium and nickel free. Popular crystals include Agate, Amethyst, Black Obsidian, Rose Quartz, Turquoise and Quartz.

Ethics

Now, you know me, I choose brands to promote based on their ethics, so Xander Kostroma Fashion Ltd is no exception. 

They have been a member of the Living Wage foundation since we launched in 2018. They recognise that working at a job for minimum wage simply isn’t enough for you to live a comfortable life with. So all direct employees and contracted staff in the UK, China and Portugal are paid a living wage. 

From the work studio to the final campaign image – all of their jewellery can be traced directly back to the source and they are all hand made.

Review

The necklace is absolutely beautiful, I’m in love with the clear quartz crystal which I never actually had before and it’s hard to come across I think. The length is perfect and it’s a beautiful quality, heavy piece as it should be. The subtle golden additions like the tiny ginko leaf makes the clear white really pop. I intentionally photographed it on white and cream background – just look at it. I think the price is almost too cheap for this beauty.
