I do love cheese cake, but I have to say, I love the sweetened cream cheese about it the most. So I was thinking a something luxurious, festive recipe to combine cheesecake flavour with the gorgeous Fabbri Amarena I had in the cupboard. This dessert will steal the show at Christmas dinner, birthdays and other occasions.
Tips when making Bailey’s cheesecake trifle cups
I used the Fabbri fruit jars before, and nothing comes close to them, especially these Amarena cherries in syrup – absolutely amazing, one of my favourite delicacy. You can buy similar ones in Aldi, which does the job for baking, so I might try them the next time I make these Bailey’s cheesecake trifle cups. I also use Amarena cherries in other bakes like this Vegan Chocolate Sponge Cake With Amarena Cherries.
You can add amaretti crumbles on the top to take this already luxurious dessert to the next level or add 2 pieces of cantuccini/biscotti on the side.
Want to make it vegan?
Not impossible. The vegan version of this recipe would be swapping the traditional Bailey’s for Bailey’s Almande, which is vegan friendly and dairy-free with notes of honey and almond. For the cream cheese swap, you can either make your own vegan cream cheese with this recipe, or you can get them in most supermarkets: Violife and Sheese and even Philadelphia makes vegan cream cheese,
So this dessert is a perfect autumn – winter treat, containing Bailey’s and so making it a little bit festive. It’s a perfect glass dessert for Halloween, Thanksgiving and pre-Christmas dinner parties. It’s fluffy and creamy and with a little Irish Cream, it makes such a divine tasting and elegant looking treat. You can prepare it a good few hours before serving, just keep it in the fridge – it tastes nicer chilled. And the best thing about it is that it takes such little effort to make! Win-win!

Not a fan of the cherries, but I’m totally going to try Bailey’s in my trifle next time I make one. This would be perfect for Christmas as I don’t like Christmas cake.
