Ever since the first collagen supplements came around some years ago I’ve been very interested in trying collagen. I’ve read different articles about it and of course heard many people swearing by taking collagen supplements. I have not been able to try collagen supplements, however, because – you might have guessed, they are made of meat industry byproducts. Most collagen peptides are sourced from the hides and connective tissues of cows (and fish in the case of marine collagen) for the supplements.
This is why I grabbed the opportunity to review Revive Collagen Vegan – The World’s First Clinically Proven Vegan Collagen. Revive, listening to their future vegan and vegetarian customers (and let’s face this: their numbers are growing rapidly) created a plant-based formula.
Now let’s see how does it work.
What is Collagen and Why it is Important?
You probably know this already, but let’s just recap. Collagen has become a true buzz word in the past few years, but collagen itself is a protein that our body produces: imagine it like the glue, that holds skin, muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissues together, but it is also found in other organs. There are different types of collagens responsible for different organs and they play different roles: some takes care of our joints and others make our skin look plump and young.
However, as we get older, our collagen declines. Worse, even: the existing collagen breaks down faster. This is when collagen rich diet or indeed starting to take collagen supplements can be beneficial. Furthermore, you can also damage your collagen by making not so wise lifestyle choices like smoking, consuming too much sugar or exposing your skin to too much sun (this latter I am still guilty of…) and some autoimmune diseases can also decrease collagen production.

Are Collagen Supplements Beneficial?
Since collagen as a whole cannot be absorbed only in the form of amino acids. Our body breaks down the collagen proteins we eat into amino acids. Which leaves two option:
- healthy diet that supports the body’s natural collagen production
- collagen peptides or hydrolyzed collagen (smaller pieces of collagen so it can be absorbed) in the form of supplements
Studies that have been carried out and they have found that collagen peptides can have possible positive effect in improving skin elasticity and relieving pain and improving joint function.
About Revive Vegan Collagen
What is Vegan Collagen?
The vegan collagen is a game changer for those wanting to do a bit more to boost collagen production but not at the expense of animals. Vegan collagen works differently: it boosts collagen production of the body rather than adding extra collagen. This is the main difference, so vegan collagen doesn’t actually contain collagen.
Rather, Revive vegan collagen is designed to mimic the human type 1 collagen, with the help of:
- 21 amino acids found in human type 1 collagen, matching the profile of the skin, hair, and nails
- Vitamins B, C, D & E
- Panax Ginseng
- Retinol
- Biotin

If you know a little bit of vegan and clean skin care products – these vitamins and natural extracts are true skincare heros and they have been already proved to be very beneficial for the skin.
It is recommended to drink a sachet daily, which will help to rebuild and restore the collagen levels while providing essential nutrients to enhance beauty from within. Each box contains a 14 or 28-day supply of ready-to-drink sachets in a raspberry flavour.
How Much Revive Vegan Collagen Cost?
You can choose the subscription model, chick makes it a little less expensive – it is a bit pricey in my view -:
14 day supply every two weeks costs £29.27, whilst the 4 weeks supply subscription is £52.96
One time purchase is £35.69 in case of the 14 days supply and £64.58 for a month supply.
What I thought About Revive Vegan Collagen
A sachet a day is perfectly doable along with the daily vitamins, I normally take it at some point early afternoon. I then empty the sachet into a small cup of water and drink it like that. I find the taste of the liquid a bit unpleasant (it’s raspberry only by colour) even with water, but it’s easy enough to knock it back with a little bit of water – also extra hydration. You can get used to it, I did too, I think it’s not an issue.
I have now completed the 28 days subscription. I must say, I find my skin definitely plumper and brighter thanks to the consistency taking Revive vegan collagen daily.
Price-wise, of course it’s more expensive than other vitamins or supplements but Revive vegan collagen has been developed for boosting collagen production and with that, it’s a unique, world’s first that give you some visible results after 4 weeks. I’d buy it again.
