About Floordrobe
Floordrobe was born out of the frustration of messy rooms, clothes that are still good to wear again covering the floor and chairs, because we have nowhere to put them. Especially is a small room. We don’t want to wash everything after just one wear – so where do they end up? On the chair, on the floor, on various places in the room but not going back in your wardrobe and they are also not dirty to wash.
Floordrobe provides a solution to cut the mess and have a space for these clothes: a place to hang up your worn but still clean clothes or prepare next days work clothes and school uniform to save some time and start your day with a spring in your step for being organised.
It’s a handsome ladder that leans against the wall (with protective covers to save your paint). It comes with a set of adjustable hooks to hang up those in-between clothes, and is fast and easy to assemble.
Your room instantly becomes more organised, less messy and less cluttered.
Sustainable, Genius of a Solution
Of course, the newly organised room feels better to be around, giving you. more headspace and improving mental health – you deserve a pat on the back for getting the first step done.
Beyond this, your electricity and water bills will be lower too, because you’ll avoid washing clothes that can be worn again. And this of course, it’s also more environmentally friendly.
Floordrobe is made of sustainably sourced materials to ensure no forest degradation. Made from Acacia auriculiformis.
What did I think about it?
Honestly, this might be just the thing that teaches my pre-tween boy to hand up the clothes that he can use again.
Firstly, Floordrobe is the perfect size for him and he can reach the hooks easily – this is because the height of the Floordrobe is adjustable by the way you place it against the wall. It is also placed near the little reading couch in his room, where he used to dump his clothes.
Secondly, because this is as easy and not at all overwhelming process for his ASD and ADHD brain, he can see the benefits of it too. Simply getting into the habit of inspecting his clothes if they are ok to be worn again or they go into the laundry basket (which I also got for his room, so he doesn’t have to carry the clothes to the bathroom). Then just hang the still ok to wear clothes on the Floordrobe.
The Floordrobe looks really neat but there are ample storage space you gain via the well spaced boards and adjustable hooks – so there are space for his towel and dressing gown too.
So, it’s easy to say, that I absolutely love the idea – and I’m planning to get another one in our bedroom too – for husband! Look how neat it would look:

My daughter was the worst but she now has her own house to mess up. However this looks like something I could use instead of piling clothes on my shoe rack!

What a brilliant idea! I would make good use of this myself as I often wear stuff for a short while and then chuck it on a chair to wear again later.
