My Udora review
I picked a couple of lovely house plants from the site (I feel like I can never have enough of plants!): peace lily, orchid, spathiphyllum and flamingo plant.
They all arrived on the day we agreed and in superb condition – can’t fault the delivery and the quality, I have received beautiful, full of life plants in bloom – they make a great gift, absolutely worth thinking about gifting live plants from Udora as they are a great alternative to cut flowers and a growing number of people prefer them. Me included.
The delivery service was also great: they have called me to discuss available dates for the delivery and offered more than just one option – which was really helpful.
I’m very pleased with my new plants.
What are the most popular flower gift and occasion combinations?
Flowers have long been associated with expressing emotions, celebrating milestones, and marking special occasions. The combination of various flowers with different occasions not only adds beauty but also conveys heartfelt messages.
Here’s a look at some of the most popular flower gift and occasion combinations that you can also order from Udora:
Birthdays
One of the most common occasions for gifting flowers is a birthday. Bright and cheerful blooms like sunflowers, daisies, and vibrant mixed bouquets are particularly favored. Roses, especially in shades of pink and yellow (but never red, unless you are in love with the giftee), are also popular as they denote admiration and friendship, making them perfect for celebrating the special day of someone dear.
Anniversaries
When it comes to anniversaries, romantic red roses top the list as a classic choice. They represent love and passion, making them ideal for romantic partners. However, other colors of roses, such as pink or white, can also be selected to symbolize appreciation, purity, and new beginnings. Seasonal flowers like lilies or tulips may also be beautifully arranged, celebrating the birthday month (especially popular in early spring months).
Weddings
For weddings, flowers are an essential component, not only for the bridal bouquet but also for decorations and centerpieces. Peonies, hydrangeas, and garden roses are often used because of their elegance and romance. I had calla lilies in white – and they were perfect for me. The colors typically align with the wedding theme, and combinations of white, blush, and pastel shades are the most popular. Special arrangements of flowers can also be given as gifts to the bride and groom, symbolizing good wishes for love and happiness in their new journey together.
Sympathy and Condolences
In times of loss, sending flowers is a thoughtful way to express sympathy and support. White lilies, chrysanthemums, and roses are frequently chosen for funerals or to comfort someone grieving. These flowers symbolize purity, remembrance, and love, allowing the sender to convey their sentiments in a gentle and respectful manner. A heartfelt note accompanying a floral arrangement can express symphaty during such a difficult time.
Get Well Soon
When someone is unwell, a bouquet of bright, cheerful flowers can uplift their spirits. Flowers like sunflowers, daisies, or gerbera daisies are bright and joyful, symbolizing a wish for speedier recovery. They can also bring a sense of positivity and hope. It’s a beautiful way to remind a friend or loved one that you are thinking of them as they heal.
Thank You
Expressing gratitude is another occasion where flowers excel—whether for a favor, support, or kindness shown by someone. Seasonal flowers arranged in a thoughtful bouquet can serve as a delightful surprise. Daisies, lilies, and tulips often make appearances in thank-you arrangements.
New Baby
Celebrating the arrival of a new baby is an occasion filled with joy. Soft, pastel-colored flowers—such as pink or blue roses, peonies, and tulips—are commonly given to new parents. They symbolize new beginnings and innocence. Cuddly toys or sweet treats can be paired with the floral arrangement to make the gift even more special.
